Responsibility

OUR MISSION

Slow-fashion feelgood wear in a timeless & classic design

Sustainability for us means materials in harmony with nature, decent conditions for the people who sew and knit our styles, and great timeless designs that last season after season.

We are constantly working to make our collections as sustainable as possible. It's a process we know takes time, in an industry that has a lot on its environmental conscience. No one in the clothing industry can produce or ship their goods without impacting the environment to some degree, but we want to help make conscious choices to do better at every stage of the process.

LEFTOVER – NO WASTE

A large proportion of the knitwear in our collections is made with stock yarns, surplus yarns of good quality that we buy from suppliers for high-end brands. By using stock yarns, we can reduce the production of new yarns and, ultimately, the impact on the environment. For us, it makes sense to avoid waste and use the raw materials that are available, seeing the potential in what is already available.

MATERIALS
We work exclusively with natural materials of a high quality, and we have great respect for the origin of the raw materials we use for our collections. The majority of our collections are made of pure cashmere, exclusive yak wool knits, and soft basic favourites in a unique blend of silk and cashmere. A large proportion of our cashmere is certified under Ecocert. Our mohair wool is also certified as "non-mulesed".

LIABILITY
For us, sustainability is inextricably linked to responsibility. Our business has always operated based on a principle of responsibility. It is possible to create high-quality clothing at reasonable prices and in a responsible way – we have been doing it for 40 years. Our principle of responsibility means that we generally select our partners based on criteria such as safe and decent working conditions and as little environmental impact as possible. We perform quality control in every production process. We regularly check that production sites comply with applicable requirements. We have been working with most of our partners for more than 20 years.

SUSTAINABILITY AT EVERY STAGE
As we work to become more sustainable, we constantly review all stages of our various processes to assess whether we can do better.

It's not just the clothes that need to be more sustainable, it's also the way we transport the goods and send them on to you. That's why we ship as much of our production as possible by train or boat, and we only use FSC-certified cardboard boxes or recycled plastic bags for our shipments.

If you have any questions about our sustainable choices, please feel free to contact us.
