OUR MISSION

Slow fashion feel-good wear in timeless & classic design

Sustainability for us means materials in harmony with nature, decent conditions for the people who sew and knit our styles, and good timeless designs that last season after season.

We are constantly working to make our collections as sustainable as possible. It is a process that we know takes time, in an industry that has a lot of environmental conscience. No one in the clothing industry can produce or ship their goods without burdening the environment to some degree, but we would like to help make some conscious choices to do better at every stage of the process.

LEFTOVER – NO WASTE

A large part of our knitwear collections are made with stock yarns , surplus yarns of good quality, which we purchase from suppliers to high-end brands. When we use stock yarns, we can reduce the production of new yarns and thus ultimately reduce the burden on the environment. For us, it makes good sense to avoid waste and use the raw materials that are available and see the possibilities in what is already available.

MATERIALS
We work exclusively with natural materials of good quality and have great respect for the origin of the raw materials we use for our collections. The majority of our collections are made in pure cashmere, exclusive knitwear in yak wool, and soft basic favorites in a unique blend of silk and cashmere. A large part of our cashmere is certified under ECOcert. This certification is an environmental label that focuses on ecology, resource conservation and securing biodiversity. Our mohair wool is also certified as “non-mulesed”.

RESPONSIBILITY
For us, sustainability is inextricably linked to responsibility. It has always been the foundation of our company that we work based on a principle of responsibility. It is possible to create clothes in good quality for reasonable money and in a responsible way, we have been doing that for 40 years. Our principle of responsibility means, in general, that we select our partners ourselves based on criteria such as decent working conditions, safe working conditions and as little environmental impact as possible. We carry out quality control at each production. We regularly check that the production sites meet applicable requirements. We have worked with most of our partners for more than 20 years.

SUSTAINABILITY AT ALL LEVELS
In our work to become more sustainable, we constantly review all parts of our various processes to assess whether we can do better.

It's not just the clothes that need to be more sustainable, it's also the way we transport the goods and send them to you. That's why we bring home as much of our production as possible by train or boat and we only use FSC certified cardboard boxes or recycled plastic for our shipments. FSC is the world's most ambitious global certification for responsible forestry and your security for wood and paper from well-managed forests and other responsible sources.

If you have any questions regarding our sustainable choices, you are more than welcome to contact us.
