How to care for your soft knitwear

WASH

You can safely machine wash your knitwear on a wool program at 30 °C with a low spin (400–600 rpm). Avoid harsh detergents that could damage the cashmere fibers!

You may also hand wash your knitwear by gently soaking it in 30 °C water with a detergent intended for wool.

Always wash light and dark colours separately, as darker shades may bleed.

DRYING

After washing, gently reshape your knitwear and lay it flat on a towel to dry. Do not tumble dry or hang to dry, as this may cause the garment to stretch out of shape.

Wool is naturally self-cleaning, so airing your knitwear between wears can reduce the need for frequent washing and help conserve water.

IRONING & STEAMING

Cashmere and wool can be ironed or steamed with ease. Set your iron to low–medium heat to protect the delicate natural fibres. Place a towel or cloth between the iron and the garment, and use plenty of steam for best results.

STORAGE

Store your cashmere folded rather than hanging to prevent any deformation.

Instead, store your sweaters folded flat in your wardrobe.

To help prevent moths, air your knitwear regularly and store it with cedar balls.

CARE

Pilling may occur in areas exposed to friction — typically under the arms or along the sides of the sweater.

Pilling can easily be removed using our Cashmere Comb, made from cedar wood, or our Fabric Shaver, an effective tool that gently removes lint and pills from all types of textiles.
